🏀 It's déjà vu all over again. The Women's Final Four tips off this Friday in Phoenix, and the field is exactly the same as last year. But this time around, the teams are on different sides of the bracket: UConn draws South Carolina in the first semifinal at 7 PM ET, a rematch that should already have a miniseries. UCLA and Texas follow in the nightcap at 9:30 PM ET. The Longhorns are hotter than a jalapeño wrapped in a jalapeño, so UCLA needs to rain down threes to have any shot at slowing them down. The national championship is Sunday at 3:30 PM ET...I'll be in the arena losing my mind.
⚽️ The NWSL has been open three weeks and someone already broke the table. Nothing makes sense and I love it. The teams that dominated 2025 (Kansas City, Gotham, Washington) are all struggling, while ACFC is the league's only undefeated team. Is this a real power shift or just early season hiccups? We'll get some answers this weekend. On Friday night, Angel City heads to Orlando for their first real road test of the season. If they come out of Florida (godspeed) with a win, Angel City isn’t just a headline, they're a threat. Then on Saturday, Kansas City hosts Gotham, two heavyweights trying to find their footing, both desperate for points. Buckle up.
🤸🏾 NCAA gymnastics regionals are underway this weekend in Baton Rouge, Tempe, Lexington, and Corvallis. The top two teams from each site punch their ticket to the national championships April 16-18 in Fort Worth. Oklahoma comes in as the defending champion and the favorite, though Florida and LSU have been right on their heels all season. The big storyline is Jordan Chiles, in her final college season at UCLA. The Olympic gold medalist has been electric and the Bruins are genuine title contenders. Time to stick the landing!
Storied Sports sat down with Cheryl Miller, Lisa Leslie, Ann Meyers Drysdale, Nancy Lieberman, and Katrina McClain and asked them this: If you played together, could anyone beat you?Hear the Naismith 5 scout each other with awe and honesty.Getting an easy layup inside? Not against Miller, Leslie and McClain. How about a steal? Not with Lieberman and Meyers Drysdale handling the rock. This is a tight five. They don’t quit.Whatever era you put them in.
