đ If you're thirsty for more volleyball after the LOVB finals, check out Major League Volleyball, the other pro women's volleyball league. (These two leagues need to merge at some point.) MLV is crowning a champion this weekend in Frisco, Texas. Both semifinals are Thursday, May 7 on ION: No. 1 Indy Ignite vs. No. 4 Omaha Supernovas at 7 p.m. ET, followed by No. 2 Dallas Pulse vs. No. 3 San Diego Mojo. Keep an eye on San Diego, who just announced this is their final season as a franchise. Theyâre playing with extra fuel. Championship is Saturday, May 9 at 3 p.m. ET on ION, where the winning team splits a million dollars among the roster. Set, spikeâŠCASH!
đ Captain Clutch delivers again! Montreal's Marie-Philip Poulin scored the triple overtime winner in Game 2 to even the series 1-1 against Minnesota. It came on a laser assist by Abby Roque, who is playing with a swollen black eye thanks to Minnesota's Britta Curl-Salemme. The action in the penalty box might be busier than on the ice. Curl-Salemme racked up a roughing penalty and a game misconduct in Game 1 and was suspended for Game 2. Roque got her revenge. Game 3 is Thursday, May 7 at 7 p.m. ET in Minnesota. On the other side, Boston and Ottawa are also tied 1-1, with Game 3 Friday, May 8 and Game 4 Sunday, May 10, both in Ottawa. Watch all the games on the PWHL YouTube channel.
