🔥 Ice hockey is getting hot. It's the final week of the PWHL regular season, and the race for the last playoff spot couldn't be tighter. Montreal, Boston, and Minnesota have all clinched, but Ottawa and Toronto are still fighting for that fourth and final berth, and this week's games will decide it all. And even though I'm a Sirens fan, I'm throwing my support in Ottawa's direction. Their incredible head coach, Carla MacLeod, a two-time Olympic gold medalist (who also coached Czechia at this year's Winter Olympics), stepped away from the team to focus on her breast cancer treatment. She's been fighting all season with the same determination she brought as a player. The whole hockey world is in her corner. 💗
🥎 The NCAA softball regular season is winding down, and wait for it… Oklahoma is in first place. I know, shocking. This weekend they take on a tough Georgia squad looking for an upset. Or a hit. Anything. Games are Friday through Sunday on ESPN2 and the SEC Network. Another compelling matchup is No. 9 Tennessee hosting No. 2 Alabama. Lady Vols ace Karlyn Pickens, a two-time SEC Pitcher of the Year, holds the NCAA record for the fastest pitch ever thrown at 79.4 mph.
