Legends of the Ball

Here’s the thing about Legacy; when the next crop of record breakers emerges, there’s no jealousy, it’s excitement.

You can hear that from Cheryl Miller, Nancy Lieberman, Ann Myers Drysdale, Katrina McClain and Lisa Leslie as they talk about the winners of the awards named after them, Madison Booker, Hannah Hidalgo, Mikayla Blakes, Sarah Strong and Lauren Betts, respectively.

Just listen.

Sure, the legends may wish they had the money or the spotlight that these players have now, but that was never in their control to begin with. What you do hear is respect, and a helluva scouting report.

Game recognizes game. Every one of these women, whether they played in the 1970s or in the last NCAA final, is part of the story of basketball. We here at Storied were so proud to pull them together for this conversation, and our sides still hurt from laughing along with them.

The Naismith 5 Roundtable brings together legends who didn’t just play the game, they built it. Tap in for the sizzle reel, then go deeper into the full conversation. Click here for the full roundtable.
