Media We Love

Jane said it best, it starts with stories. And while I impatiently wait for more of them, I'm consuming every piece of women's sports content I can find. Here's what I’m mainlining:

Podcasts

There's never been a better time to be a women's sports podcast listener. The space is crowded in the best possible way. My favorite is Good Game with Sarah Spain. This is the go-to daily podcast for basic news like "Who won the game?" and for more in-depth conversations with guests in every level of the women's game. Plus, Sarah is so funny. I'm hooked. Next up:

⚽️ The Women's Game with Sam Mewis

🏒 Jocks in Jills with Tessa Bonhomme and Julia Tocheri

🏆 Welcome to the Party with Abby Wambach, Julie Foudy and Billie Jean King

🎙️ Flagrant and Funny with Cari Champion and Jemele Hill

Platforms

If you're a nerd like me, I can't get enough around the clock news: stats, schedules, fun facts. My top pick is Just Women's Sports. This is the OG - the bread and butter of the space. They have it all and the site will only get better as it gets bigger. Next up:

The Gist

The IX Sports

The Athletic

Broadcasters

I love the players and I love the game, but the right broadcasters make me feel like I belong there, like I've had a standing date with them for years. My favorite combo is Beth Mowins, Jessica Mendoza, Michele Smith and Holly Rowe covering NCAA softball. Between them they've got Olympic gold medals, three decades on ESPN, and a genuine love for the game that comes through on every single call. Find them this weekend when the playoffs start. Next up:

🏀 Rebecca Lobo, Ryan Ruocco and Holly Rowe

🏀 Chiney Ogwumike, Andraya Carter and Christine Williamson

⚽️ Lori Lindsey

🎾 Rennae Stubbs

Binge watch, binge listen, binge read. The stories are incredible and sleep is overrated.
